Griffen, September 2018:
This year over 14,000 people took part in the Hausbau Design Award 2018, voting for their favourite home. 29% of votes went to the CLASSIC Munich house by premium house-builder GRIFFNER, who won first prize in the category “Modern Architecture/Bauhaus Style”. GRIFFNER, an Austrian provider of high-end timber houses, impressed the independent judges with its construction method, quality and design.
Set up in 2014, the Hausbau Design Award comprises the categories “Bungalow”, “Classic”, “Modern Bauhaus Style”, “Country Houses”, “Premium Houses”, “KfW40”, “Custom-Built Homes”, “Newcomer 2018” and “Apartment Buildings”. The 14,000 participants selected the winners from 150 different houses designed by 35 providers of prefabricated housing and timber and non-framed structures. The GRIFFNER CLASSIC house in Munich won 1st prize in the category “Modern Architecture/Bauhaus Style”.
This prestigious award is primarily based on the criteria of child-friendly housing concepts, self-build homes and a good price/performance ratio.
Located in Munich, GRIFFNER’s detached house from the CLASSIC line won over the judges with its design and quality: this saddle roof line combines elegance with tradition and a feeling of lightness. The CLASSIC line has re-interpreted the style of the classical Austrian gable roof, uniting a cosy atmosphere with appealing modern design. Three different gable options offer individual flexible concepts for the home.
“We are delighted by the popularity of our CLASSIC house and that we managed to impress such a huge number of people with our construction method and architecture for this type of home. Winning first prize is a special award we’re very proud of”, comments Christine Niedereder, Head of Sales and Marketing at GRIFFNER.
